Well, I continue to have fun re-living my childhood art classes by making more linoleum prints. This rooster was just crying out to be made.
The first round of printing had lots of extra linoleum marks in the print. I don’t know if this was because I didn’t cut deep enough, but I don’t think that’s the case. I think it was because there was no edge design to keep it from drooping down onto the card when I was pressing the print. Note to self: keep some sort of edge design to keep print lifted on edges in the future.
So I went back and re-cut the parts that were showing up a little deeper and tried again.
That’s better I think. It’s not perfect, and I kind of like that.
