There are literally about 10 days a year when all 4 of my children, Jim and I are in the same place at the same time. We seized the opportunity this weekend to try and take a photo for our holiday card.This is what our family photos tend to come out like. When you've got 4 kids, 2 adults, 2 chickens, one dog, and a camera-shy goat trying to all look good at the same time, we don't. I particularly love the way my dog is longingly looking at Paula Deen, the chicken in my arms. Luckily, we did get a better photo than this one.

I’m new to the blogging scene and have been loving your posts. The Christmas card photo is something I truly relate to. I create a collage of photos because we too cannot seem to all get in one place at one time and in the right mood. It also tells what we have been up to without words. Just a nice sentiment. I’m a little late this year. Waiting o Teenagers who complained about the photos I used last year!
There have been a few years when I’ve almost Photoshop’d Amanda’s head into a photo, but if we aren’t all together for one I just tend to not send a card that year, or at least that’s the excuse to not do it.
