This beautiful tobacco barn full of dried tobacco leaves is in Midland, Kentucky, right next to the field where my favorite camel lives.
I remember in my childhood that the entire way from Hartford to Springfield, Mass. was lined with these barns as Northern Ct. was the only place North of the Mason Dixon LIne that had a climate and soil appropriate for Tobacco farming. Needless to say , they have been replaced with strip malls and track housing I am afraid.
